Replace the batteries inside and then turn the keyboard back on. You can fix this issue by turning the keyboard off, flipping the keyboard over and removing the battery compartment. And no, USB2.0 pendrive on a USB3.0 port is not making any noise. Why Does My Logitech Wireless Keyboard Stop Working Low batteries are one of the most common causes for a Logitech keyboard to suddenly stop working.
That's because all of those OS's was installed on a USB2.0 pendrive, except Windows (that's in my HDD). SOLVED! How did the other OS's worked fine with these devices, but not Arch? So to fix it i plugged the that pendrive to a USB3.0 port at the back of my desktop & leaved the USB receiver at the front side. The USB3.0 pendrive paired with USB3.0 port is making ALOT OF ELECTRONIC NOISE & it is interfering the USB receivers signal. My archlinux installation is in a USB3.0 drive so i paired it with the USB3.0 port & plugged the USB receiver in the USB2.0 port. In my setup, i have 2 usb port at the front side of my desktop: one is USB 2.0 & the other one is USB3.0 port.
Never plug the USB receiver anywhere near the USB3.0 port that has been paired with a USB 3.0 device. In arch, I'm only able to use devices if i reduce the distance between the devices and the receiver with a USB extension cable. There is no place to connect a wired keyboard.
Logitech has a download to fix the problem but since I cannot type I cant enter password XXXXX open windows.
I can "uninstall" in device manager, but I cannot see any driver for the keyboard in programs, nor did my visit to the Logitech site turn up a downloadable driver.I had made sure that it's not faulty because it works great on Ubuntu, Debian & Windows. My Logitech wireless keyboard will not type letters a-z on my desktop computer.
Of all of our wireless keyboards, this one that is giving problems is the most recently purchased and is less than a year old. I connected an old ancient ACER via USB cable it was instantly recognized and hasn't missed a beat. Throughout all this, the mouse has worked flawlessly. The batteries test very good not having any luck at anything else, I tried brand-new batteries anyway new batteries did not help. I have uninstalled the keyboard in device manager and restart, after which it may work for five minutes before quitting again. I downloaded a "re-connection" wizard from Logitech to no avail. Sometimes, the letters are the only thing that will not respond, while other buttons will still work sometimes, nothing whatsoever on the keyboard will work. It has gotten progressively worse until now, after several various "repairs" and computer restarts, I can maybe name three folders and then it will maybe type the first few letters of the fourth one and then quit responding. It started out that, after a day or so of idleness, typing on the keyboard would not show up on the screen, or it would skip letters, or maybe it would ignore the first few letters before they would show up.Īt first, the cure (at least for that session) was to unplug the little USB receiver and plug it back in, at which point everything would work good as new until after another period of idleness. We have several wireless Logitech MK270 keyboard/mouse combos.įor the last couple months, one of our keyboards has been giving problems it started out with intermittent mild symptoms and has progressively gotten worse.Īs best I can tell, the receiver is not a unifying receiver, although some of ours are. This is on one of our Dell Optiplex 780m mini tower machines.
